My Story
As the General Manager of the Office of the Chief Executive at TPT from 2018 to 2022, Brenda led strategic initiatives across various departments including Strategy, Business Reporting, Continuous Improvement, Innovations, and Corporate Affairs. She was instrumental in aligning TPT's long-term strategic directions with cutting-edge industrial trends, such as the 4th Industrial Revolution. Her leadership facilitated the development of a Real Estate and Innovations Units within TPT and the adoption of technology solutions to optimize business reporting and performance monitoring.

Prior to this role, Brenda served as the General Manager of New Business Development (Commercial) at TPT from 2016 to 2017, where she spearheaded the expansion of TPT’s business into broader supply chain logistics on both local and international stages. She successfully negotiated key projects, including the acquisition of a terminal operator role in Lamu, Kenya, and led the establishment of three new hinterland terminals, enhancing TPT’s network connectivity and service delivery.
From 2015 to 2017, as the General Manager of Container Terminal Operations, Brenda managed the Durban Container Terminal, the largest of its kind in South Africa. She introduced a world-class operating model, significantly increasing operational efficiencies and stakeholder engagement. Her strategic focus on improving rail operations contributed to heightened utilisation and efficiencies, bolstering overall terminal performance.
Earlier, Brenda held the role of Senior Manager of Western Cape Rail Operations from 2012 to 2014, where she was responsible for optimising rail operations and fostering integration between PRASA Western Cape and Transnet Freight Rail. Her effective leadership in stakeholder engagement and employee morale significantly enhanced rail utilisation and operational coherence.
